Mozilla Firefox is recently updated to version 7 with so many of upgrades including speedy performance and low memory consumptions. But again if you use Internet Download Manager as your primary download manager/accelerator then you’d be disappointed to know that fact the the latest Firefox 7 is unable to find an update to IDM addon and thus it disables the IDM addon after the installation of Firefox 7.
This has been happening since the release of Firefox 3. Mozilla team is unable to find the update of the Internet Download Manager addon for IDM. Anyways, good news is IDM does support the latest Firefox 7 but you have to manually install the updated and compatible IDM addon.
Here’s what you need to do update the addon manually:
1. Click here to download (updated) IDM Extension for Firefox 7.
2. A notification will appear on Firefox, click “Allow” to download the add-on.
3. Firefox’s addon installation window will appear; click “Install now” and then allow it to restart Firefox.
